Hello, I'm Pat, a reader of Steven's blog Dar Kush. Very interesting stuff there.
Steven, I've been unable to post on your blog for about a week. My computer says it's being attacked when I hit enter on my posts. This doesn't happen with any other blog, so I wonder if you've recently put in any new software.
What I wanted to tell you was that I've started the IF, which is going well. No problems. Not lost any weight either, but it's a bit early to tell. I have read other places that a lower than usual calorie intake is associated with improved lifespan, but I don't have the links around. If I get a chance, I'll look for them. ;D

If you don't lower calories, there shouldn't be some big weight loss effect--but I bet there will be a moderate one. The "improved lifespan" thing is pretty well established, but what I really want is improved depth of experience within whatever days I have.

How do you feel that's going?

Great. I have more time on fasting days, and increased energy and focus. On eating days, I get to d**n near pig out. Exercise is interesting...it feels as if gaining muscle is easier...or maybe it just shows up faster. Weight loss is incredibly simple. In fact, you have to be careful not to lose weight TOO fast, if you're exercising as well.
