Another excellent link, Suzanne. My own position is that evolutionary forces are powerful, but that environmental ones are strong as well. I'd hate to see a defense attourney get some scumbag off for killing his wife because of EP. On the other hand, the article seems to off-handedly dismiss the possibility that men do have a natural attraction to perky boobies, something that seems fairly consistent world-wide. They also dismiss the lessons from cultural anthropology regarding hunter-gatherer cultures. Clearly, when one has a behavior (like gathering) that is distributed between men and women variously, one can't draw conclusions. but other behaviors (like hunting large animals) that one finds ALMOST exclusively among the males of these groups, one CAN draw conclusions...and some of them will be thought sexist. but boy, is this a fertile area for discussion, or what???
