I just wanted to say hello to everyone here,I have been reading since I signed up,and am appreciative of the info here.
I am awaiting the arrival of my 5MM set,and am ready to try to get back in control of my life, instead of reacting to everything.
I am a 36 y.o male, live in Denver,Co with my wife of 7 years, and 3 cats.I have been involved with martial arts and self defense for many years. I am sure I will have many questions, and discover things I will need help with. Thank you in advance for setting this up,and accepting me. Thanks,Terry

I realized I should probably have included a bit more,so it is clear where I am coming from. Barring the childhood stuff, which I am slowly dealing with,I allowed myself to fall to a low level.I had become a drug addict, and due to that, and a bad reaction to my first marriage,I became homeless.I have been off the street for 10 years now,and have gotten a job in the industry I love. But I have never dealt with the problems that led me to making those bad choices, and have become aware that I need to,for me,and my wife. I became aware of Mr. Barnes through a used bookstore.I bought Firedance, and it started me thinking, and changed some things in my way of thinking. Then I read the dedications in the back of it,and recognized names of friends, and people I looked upto. I was convinced it was a circle drawing me to a place with the answers. So,here I am,and thanks for reading all this. Terry

Terry, welcome! I want to support you in every way I can. My intent is to build a community of people commited to a balanced, healthy lifestyle. My own personal journey includes martial arts and creative writing, so that stuff gets referenced a lot, but the board is welcome to all who are willing to play nice and respect each other's spirit. We're all on our own journey, and we all need allies to get through life. ## So...just start looking at your life as the interaction of three elements: body, career, personal relationships. Take responsibility for the results you've gotten in each, and commit to slow, steady improvment---a rate of about 1% per week will have MASSIVE effect after a single year. Don't try to change too much too fast. Post thoughts when they come to you. ## As for the Five Minute Miracle. When you get the tape, begin practise, and also start working with the Five Tibetans. Keep a journal of your thoughts and dreams, and begin some kind of light meditation practise--listening to your heartbeat for 15 minutes a day is just fine. And get LOTS of hugs. Let that lady you love know, every day, that she is the best thing in your life. There is NOTHING more healing than love. Nothing.
Steve
