Would love to hear thoughts from Steven and anybody else on the scifi shows out this year.
I think Flash Forward started out really well and though I have been less enthused as the series has progressed I think it is still a pretty solid show with a good cast. From a story standpoint, I am still not sure how I feel about this idea of the characters knowing what happens to them in six months. I guess it does work but I have gotten a bit tired of the refrain coming from a few of them saying, "Oh I will be dead in x months", more or less.
The other series I have found really entertaining has been the revised "V". Still not sure what the deal is with revisiting the 80's. I am not sure what else they can mine from that decade. We had Battlestar Galactica and now V. Are they running out of material for new shows? Anyway, as for V, I really like it so far. The biggest differences though are aesthetic. When you go back and look at the original (or watched as I did growing up) then you can easily see how much difference technology makes. I am sure the show will follow the original fairly closely but still entertaining.
I watched a bit of "Eastwick" and found it mildly entertaining but not enough so to continue watching it. Apparently many felt the same because it has already been cancelled.
I am sure I am missing a few but those are all I can think of. I watched part of the pilot for Stargate Universe but couldn't really get into it like the original or "Atlantis".
