www.thorncoyle.com/podcasts/Elemental%20Castings_07_FIRE_120708.m4aThere's a lot worth hearing in there (will and energy, progression of learning, purpose in life, etc. from ceremonial magic and yoga and chi gung angles), but the bit that especially registered for me was about the value of building up one's basis, and that a lot of magicians are always starting from 0 when they try to do anything, but having a good daily practice (exercise, meditation, etc.) means that you're starting from something like 50. It's very easy for me to believe that I shouldn't need that sort of maintenance, that I should just automatically be ready for what I think I ought to be able to do. This is simply not a reasonable standard.

That voice that tells you you should just automatically be ready...can you identify it?
