spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pMb24_TJLiXw5wQgM7G9nJQI put together a spreadsheet of the positive effects of the Five Tibetans based on Amazon reviews of 3 books. Originally, I was curious about your implication that the Tibetans lead to weight loss since it seemed to me from a previous read that only about 1/10 of accounts mentioned it. In a way, that was correct-- I was dealing with 200 reviews or so, but I though weight loss was rare compared to rejuvenation, and it isn't. d**n, I should have been keeping records, but I think the weight loss was typically in the 10 to 20 pound range. The three largest categories are energy at 38, rejuvenation at 30, and weight loss at 24. I'd say the most surprising category is people losing some of the gray in their hair. If I were doing it over, I would have included a category for people who didn't benefit-- there were a few of those, including someone who did the Tibetans for two years (!) and some people who said the Tibetans didn't do any more than light exercise. I have no idea whether those people were doing it wrong or if there are some people who simply don't get much out of them. This is an approximate spreadsheet-- I'm sure I lost track of some benefits as I was transferring them from their reviews, and worse, two columns (one with 7 examples of whatever it was and one with 1) got lost as I was sorting the columns into declining order. And some of the categories overlap. However, there are clear trends and I'd say the Tibetans are worth trying for anyone who can do them safely.

Wow! Nancy, that's great. The thing to remember with any exercise is that it is more for your mind/body CONNECTION than just for your body. It is impossible to out-grow the Tibetans if you apply a bit of creativity. On the other hand, if you can do 21 reps of each easily, it's quite possible that you are already doing everything you need to provide their values. "Light Exercise"? They're more than that, but you have to go into visualization, muscle locks, breathing, and selective muscle tension to find it.
