Steven,
Just was poking around on the Kindle store checking out various authors. I noted that there are a few of your books available for the new device from Amazon, as well as Casanegra. Neat stuff.

I'm planning to wait about a month, and then buy one. Just want to read more reviews, but it seems pretty straight-forward and cool.

Mine is on order. Looks like they misjudged something, because its between 1-2 month wait from date of order. I'm hoping that most of that was the christmas rush. I'll let you know when I get mine, and I'll let you know my thoughts. I'm hoping it will be a great experience.

Well, my Kindle should arrive next week. Steve, from what I can tell, it appears that the lag between order and shipment is shrinking. It seems to be around the 4 week mark now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that shrink further as Feb rolls on.
I've been in touch with a lot of Kindle users, and as a community they all seem rather excited by this device. We don't yet have hard numbers on sales, but my internal estimate is somewhere in the 50K unit range. Small, but not insignificant. The price is a bit of a barrier to entry. There are over 100K books available for it through Amazon itself, and if you hit up some of the free sources (Manybooks.net, feedbooks, Baen's Free Library, etc, etc) you can much more than double that number.
I'll post up some thoughts on it after I've read a whole book on the device, and let you know.
