A few of us have written to the effect that, they almost feel as if they are being dishonest to earn money for writing. I don't feel that I would be less than honest if I were to ever see my work published. First of all, it takes a lot of one's time to conjure up a story, outline, draft & re-draft, ect. And what about those times when you find it necessary to research before you can even begin the writing process? Or, do you research? If so, always? Or, just sometimes?

Sometimes I write from experience, but more and more these days, it takes research. not sure why...

My writing would be drastically limited if it were only based on my experience. My imagination provides for better subject matter. But even that would be no good without the research to seem like I know what I'm talking about. I'm sure thats why I research. I want my characters to be convincing.
